The team at Benchmark Arts is comprised of industrial designers, MFAs,  scenic painters, welders, entrepreneurs, finish carpenters and people with a wide range of talents and passions.

 

Leadership Team

Working with our skilled team of fabricators and technicians, the senior management at Benchmark Arts utilizes its combined four decades of hands-on experience to successfully serve our clients.

John Doloszycki (Founder/President)
John has over a quarter-century experience in all aspects of the conceptual development and hands-on execution of projects for artists and creative professionals. Prior to founding the company, John served for 10 years as lead foreman/project manager at 120 Degrees, the predecessor company to Benchmark Arts. He began his career working for Walt Disney Imagineering as a master carpenter and props builder. John holds a BA in Studio Art (Ceramics) from UCSB and an MFA in Sculpture from Claremont Graduate University.

Eric Rossi (Director of Project Management)
Eric joined Benchmark Arts as a fabricator in 2008 and now oversees all project management functions at the company. He is intimately involved in all aspects of a project’s lifecycle from initial client contact and estimation to leading teams, supervising vendors, and direct fabrication in addition to overseeing all 2D and 3D digital work. Eric holds a BFA in Industrial Design from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Robert Kwak (Chief Operating Officer)
With a background in operations and production logistics, Robert oversees all strategy and administration in addition to working directly with clients on numerous projects. Prior to joining the company in 2015, Robert founded Muu, a domestically-produced furniture company (IDSA/International Design Excellence Awards Finalist), and worked in event production for two presidential campaigns. Now based in Massachusetts, Robert is a Trustee of the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, a mentor for the New Museum(NY)/New Inc cultural incubator, and has served as a visiting lecturer on public art production at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He holds a BA with honors (Cultural Studies) from Amherst College and a law degree from Georgetown University.
