It all started with set design.

While the company was founded over a dozen years ago, our experience in creative services dates back nearly a quarter-century.  Then known as 120 Degrees, the company was primarily a high-end sets and effects shop for the commercial, film, and television industries with a nascent business supporting emerging artist and their fabrication needs. 

Benchmark Scenery was founded in 2003 by John Doloszycki upon the retirement of the 120 Degrees management.  John, who was leading operations at the time and had previously worked for Disney after receiving his MFA, saw the opportunity to grow the company's work while continuing the tradition of high-quality craftsmanship.  Since then, we have expanded into a full-service art production company continuing to serve contemporary art clients and the entertainment industry. 

In 2015, we changed our name to Benchmark Arts to more accurately reflect the clients we serve and scope of our work.
