Can you take apart and resize a vintage clock prop on Monday, assemble a large aluminum sculpture on Wednesday, and build a plywood cabinet mockup from a blueprint on Friday?

Benchmark Arts is seeking smart, hands-on craftspeople at all skill levels who can also think through and takes ownership of a project–from material sourcing, to vendor management, to final QC check. By “hands on” we mean that she/he/they will be able to operate a variety of common woodworking, metalworking and finishing equipment with a high degree of proficiency and will be comfortable working with wood, metal, foam, glass, stone, concrete, and plastics. Candidates will also be able to read and understand schematics and blueprints and translate these concepts into sculptures and props in a variety of sizes from tabletop miniatures to large-scale installations.
